Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we do not, and the third parties involved when you use this site.
Last updated: 2026-08-16
The short version
- Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser. We never receive it.
- We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name or email unless you email us or send the contact form, which delivers your message to our inbox and is used only to reply.
- Analytics and advertising load only when configured and permitted by the applicable consent choice.
- We do not sell personal information.
Calculator inputs
The drywall calculators on this site run entirely as client-side JavaScript. Room dimensions, sheet sizes, prices and every other value you enter are processed in your browser and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Closing the tab discards them. Theme and consent preferences may be stored in your browser local storage, not on our application server.
Information we collect automatically
Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider records standard server log information when a page is requested: IP address, browser user agent, referring page, and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the site available and secure, and to detect abuse. We do not use them to build profiles of individuals.
Analytics
This build does not load analytics unless an analytics service is configured. If analytics is enabled, this policy will identify the provider and the data it processes. A Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal is treated as a rejection by the site's local consent gate.
Advertising
Advertising is disabled unless a valid publisher account and ad units are configured. When enabled, third party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com.
- You can opt out of third party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at optout.aboutads.info.
- Third party ad vendors and ad networks each have their own privacy policies, and we do not control their cookies or the data they collect.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We use them for three purposes only: remembering preferences, aggregate analytics when configured, and advertising when configured as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators will keep working, though your theme preference will not persist.
Children
This site is a construction estimating tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information a business holds about you, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of it. Because we do not hold accounts or personal profiles, in practice there is usually nothing for us to produce or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, email hello@drywallplanner.com and we will respond.
California residents: we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. EU and UK residents: the legal basis for our analytics and advertising processing is consent where required, and legitimate interest for security logging.
Links to other sites
Where we link to a supplier, manufacturer or reference page, that site has its own privacy policy and we are not responsible for its content or practices.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change, and we will change the date at the top. Material changes will be summarized at the top of the page.
